Training Providers for International Trade Certification

International Trade Certification® does not provide training programs for the certification exams it offers. Instead, the ITC relies on numerous organizations across the globe to provide preparation programs for students in various formats. The vast majority of examinees find success using a prep program from an Approved Provider. However, individuals are under no obligation to utilize a training provider, and may independently self-study for the exams.

Current Approved Providers

The organizations listed below have submitted to ITC training programs that align with the learning outcomes and objectives set for each certification level, and have received initial Approved Provider status. Please note that not all Approved Providers offer all certification types, and that each program may be online, on-site, or a blended model for content delivery and instruction.

We are updating our Approved Provider list.

The Role & Responsibilities of Approved Providers

International Trade Certification relies on Approved Providers and Master Approved Providers to prepare individuals for industry certification exams. An Approved Provider is a training organization that teaches the content and prepares test-takers so that they can reasonably meet the requirements for industry certification. They are  responsible for:

  • Developing and delivering training programs that align with the exam content and format.*

  • Ensuring that trainers are knowledgeable and qualified in the subject matter

  • Providing a supportive learning environment for students to prepare for the exam

  • Maintaining a high pass rate for the certification exams among their student population

  • Keeping up-to-date with changes in industry standards and updating training materials accordingly

  • Report training outcomes to the CBG using the Participant Reporting Form

  • Conform to the promotional materials checklist.

  • Renew their application as an approved provider annually.

*To ensure that materials are sufficient and appropriate to prepare individuals to sit for the exam, the AP must submit materials for subject matter expert review. Organizations that choose not to develop their own curriculum may contract with a Master Approved Provider to license curriculum.
