About IIEI Certification's Advocacy Role
The cornerstone of the IIEI Certification program is
that volunteers from
throughout the world participate in the process with their time
and expertise in helping ensure that the baseline knowledge
requirements reflect "best practices"
for any certification and meet the current needs of industry. (See
Committees for current
volunteers)
IIEI Certification's staff serve an advocacy role, reflecting these
volunteer's expert opinions into
the global standards for all international trade certifications. As a result, IIEI Certification is
accepted globally as the standard setting authority for international trade
certification. In
this role, it works closely with other NGOs and governments around the world
to make trade safe and bring standardization to trade practices and
policies.
IIEI Certification's work product (i.e. established
knowledge requirements) serves as the basis for the International
Import-Export Institute's exam preparation training courses. Its courses were
developed to help educate individuals everywhere to IIEI
Certification's global standards. More than
1500 colleges, universities and training centers worldwide are
Approved Providers, offering these
training courses to their students.
IIEI Certification is a division of International
Import-Export Institute, which is part of nationally accredited
Dunlap-Stone University (DSU).
DSU provides all administrative and financial support
to this effort of creating and maintaining the IIEI Certification
program.
