Preamble:
The Certification Board of Governors (CBG)
is a not-for-profit outreach program of Dunlap-Stone
University's International
Import-Export Institute (IIEI). It was created for a single purpose: to
enable everyone in governments and organizations worldwide
to participate openly and freely in voicing their opinions
on the global standards
for the IIEI's international trade certification without the perceptions
and possible concerns over the CBG's motives and actions
that might be associated were it a for-profit entity.
Overview:
It began in 1995 as the IIEI Certification Board and was
incorporated in Arizona in 2004 as the Certification Board of
Governors, Inc. In 2007 it moved its state of incorporation to
Delaware as a non-profit 501(c)(3) corporation. Its Mission is
to serve as a safe-haven to
professionals within the international trade industry,
allowing open discussion and scholarship, free of outside
influence, pertaining to standardization of international
trade practices. This scholarship supports and validates the
certification process utilized by the International
Import-Export Institute in its globally recognized and
accepted international trade certification programs.
